Welcome to Cartridge Politics

Welcome to Cartridge Politics. Every Round Has an Opinion

It usually starts with an innocent question: “What are you carrying this season?”

Somebody says .308. Someone else swears by the .30-06. A 6.5 Creedmoor fan mentions wind drift, and suddenly the coffee is getting cold while everyone explains what really matters in the field.

Nobody asked for a panel discussion. We’re having one anyway.

That’s the world Cartridge Politics was built for.

The argument is half the fun

Hunters and shooters have been defending their favorite cartridges for generations. We compare stories, swap advice, question each other’s shot groups, and occasionally remember that the deer never read the forum thread.

There are good reasons to care about the details. There are also plenty of times when the argument is just part of camp. We like both sides of that conversation: the serious preparation that goes into a hunt and the humor that makes the stories worth telling afterward.

Cartridge Politics turns those conversations into shirts. Some designs back a favorite round. Others poke fun at the person who insists their choice settles the debate. If your friends can tell what you shoot before you say hello, you’re in the right place.

Pick your side. Bring a sense of humor.

You don’t have to agree with us about the best cartridge. Frankly, we’d be a little disappointed if everybody did.

Maybe your .308 has never given you a reason to change. Maybe you grew up trusting the .30-06 because somebody you trust carried one. Maybe you’ve got a ballistics chart ready to defend your 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm Rem Mag, or something else entirely.

Wear your pick proudly. Just be prepared to explain it at the next campfire.

Around here, the debates are friendly, the opinions are loaded, and the stories are better when everybody gets a turn. The shirt is an easy way to start the conversation.

What you’ll find here

This blog will cover the questions and jokes that keep coming up at camp and at the range: cartridge rivalries, hunting traditions, gear talk, and the claims that sound a lot stronger until somebody asks to see the target.

We’ll make room for different opinions. We’ll also make room for the hunter who says “I don’t care what you shoot” and then spends twenty minutes explaining why.

What cartridge would you defend in a room full of hunters? Tell us your pick, and take a look at the shirts at Cartridge Politics. Your next camp argument might already be on one.
